Contributor Days are one of the most powerful parts of every WordCamp. The in-person collaboration of the official MakeWP contributor teams that build and maintain WordPress plays a big role in how WordPress gets made.
Contributor Days are also where many new contributors get their first hands-on experience contributing to the open source WordPress project. Focusing on everything from Core to Photos, Contributor Days combine learning, discussion, and human connection into an experience that strengthens both the software and the community behind it.
Every WordCamp Contributor Day is powered by people who care deeply about the WordPress project and the community that makes it thrive. These are the Contributor Day Table Leads: the folks who guide, mentor, troubleshoot, and encourage their teams, who strive to help every new contributor find a place to belong and every returning contributor to feel valued.

Throughout the week, we’ll be highlighting Table Leads from 2025’s flagship WordCamps: WordCamp Asia, WordCamp Europe, and WordCamp US.
In helping others contribute, these dedicated individuals sustain the ecosystem of contribution that keeps WordPress healthy and growing. While it’s not always quantifiable, their time, care, and expertise have an impact far beyond Contributor Day itself.
Every day, we’ll be sharing individual shout-outs to these dedicated humans, recognizing their unique contributions to our shared community. As part of this campaign, The WPCC will also be offering Contributor Day Table Lead stipends to those who are self-funded (meaning they are not sponsored by a company to attend or participate as part of their employment). These stipends are a small, but tangible way to recognize the personal costs of contributing, and to affirm that every contributor’s time and labor have real value.
